In the introduction to DJing class Eliazar will be showing many important attributes to DJing. We will go over traditional DJing with turntables, CDJs, computer interfaces, as well as all learning on a free program on the computer call Virtual DJ just using laptop. We will go over song selection, mixing, electronic music genres/styles, how to search for legal free music online, how to sort and organize music, beat matching, EQ, effects, and more. The students will go home with a free USB interface that can be used for DJing, as well as CDs of free music categorized into styles so each student can choose their favourites. Each student will get a chance to practice on the turntables with a mixer, the CDJs, and a variety of DJ controllers.
