Jive Boston
One year of electroswing in Boston. We set out to try to carve out a new music scene into the landscape, and have found ourselves with such an incredibly warm reception from this ordinarily cold city. It's been quite the ride!
We'd like to express our sincere gratitude for all that have helped create and spread our vision. It is our utmost pleasure to have hosted some unconventional talent in a conventional nightclub setting; showcasing jazz singers & musicians, swing and burlesque dancers, marching bands, and even a pantsless banjo player. Without each of you our night would not have had nearly enough flavor, and we look forward to seeing more of you in the future.
Our DJs and live acts have had a unique challenge, to keep a dancefloor consistently entertained with a truly underground genre. We thank them for putting in tons of hard work to invest in this scene, discovering, educating, and entertaining.
And to the many people behind the curtain who make this night happen; from our promotions team, our event management staff, photographers, and especially the staff at An Tua Nua; you all aren't necessarily the stars in lights, but you ARE Jive.
Lastly, we couldn't miss our absurdly generous sponsors; GrandTen Distilling, St-Germain, Fernet Branca, St. George Spirits, and The Boston Shaker... we're pleased as punch to have you in our craft-spirits-filled punchbowl.
